As many Madisonians, I drive between Madison and Milwaukee frequently. I was fascinated by the construction changes in and around the  interchange where interstate 90/94 crosses the north/south route to Chicago. This is just  outside of Milwaukee near the Zoo, thus called the Zoo Interchange. It has been under

renewal for several years now.  Each time I ride under these new ramps is a thrill.  That’s what I tried to capture on canvas. It was a particularly hard composition in which to show 3 dimensions on a 2-dimensional canvas.
