Middleton at Dusk
Watercolor 24" x 30"
I wanted to try out some photos with my new camera which touted that it captures low light scenes. I took many shots one evening at the top of the ridge near my place in Middleton. The camera did so well, that I used a few as reference to create this watercolor of the rush hour such as it is at Paramenter and University. I used lots of sticky liquid to save the whites and bright headlights. Then I covered the paper with blue-gray washes. I think it shows off the light at dusk very well. I love making snow with watercolor. This piece was chosen by Dane Arts for their annual desk Calendar
