"Zoo Fantasy"
Acrylic on Canvas 14" x 16"

I wanted to turn an episode of my life into a fantasy painting. This wasn't hard to do once I decided to use this special day. My sister Jen and I drove to Milwaukee to meet a singing guitar player at the Zoo. He had a gig with a Milwaukee band he knew. Sounds like built-in madness right?
My sister didn't like to see the birds cooped up, so all the birds in the painting are magically roaming free.
The pink statue of flamingos which usually resides at the opening of the zoo, magically became a back drop for our musician. I also exagerated all the flora, which gave the scene an extra fairyland quality.
