The early morning seems to be owned by the women. They are the major shoppers, dog walkers and child minders. This is one of the few neighborhoods that is affluent enough to have one wage earner per household. In this piece, I enjoyed trying to capture the shadows cast as well as the sunlight. Watercolor is an excellent medium for showing the contrast between light and shadow. Ultramarine blue added to all shadow tones, and aurulean yellow to all highlights.
